History
Cantonment Public School and College, Saidpur is situated at the North-east corner of Saidpur Cantonment, a little distant from the din and bustle of busy Saidpur town. In 1979 some encouraging and patronizing officers of Saidpur Cantonment felt necessity to have a modernized and progressive educational institution in this region. Being encouraged with this motto, the then station commander Col SM Shamsuzzaman took all possible constant endeavours with the help of some elite and patronizing army officers to establish a renowned educational institution both for children of the armed forces and the people of this region. Thus Cantonment Public School and College, Saidpur was established on 4th April, 1979 taking two officers’ bungalows as school campus with 156 students and 10 teachers. Initially the classes started from play group to class VIII.
